At NEEC 20 young teachers have been trained in innovative training methods based on student centered education. Together with the teachers an Environmental Education Curriculum has been developed for Primary and Middle level students. The teaching strategy is to create teaching materials related to the Kaliveli Bioregion and to provide a dynamic learning experience through hands-on activities, exposure trips, eco-clubs, nature camps and workshops. So far the NEEC teachers take the Curriculum out to 20 other schools within the Kaliveli Bioregion. |
