Pitchandikulam Forest has set up an artists studio to paint animals, plants and landscapes on stone slabs  for environmental education (Kadappa stone). Examples can be seen along the East Coast Road (at the toll plazas of Annumanthai and Uthandi, Adyar Poonga and Marina Beach in Chennai, as well as in Nadukuppam, Alamparai and Pitchandikulam itself.  We have also painted landscapes on marine plywood for the walls of Raj Bhaven and Adyar Poonga in Chennai, and for the Department of Forests and Wildlife in Pondicherry.

The studio is in the process of creating sculptures and artworks for the Adyar Poonga project and in  the future may undertake projects for the Bombay Natural History Society, Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Coimbatore Zoological Park and Conservation Centre.
